Motorcycle rider hits little girl on bike before crashing into a lamppost
This is the shocking moment a motorcycle rider hit a little girl on a bike who was crossing a road in Thailand.
CCTV footage shows the rider coming round a curve in the road while the youngster pedalled across to reach the other side in Pattani province, southern Thailand on March 27.
The female motorist who was riding to a restaurant clipped the toddler and crashed into the pavement, hitting the post.
The rider broke her left leg and had scratches all over her body but the girl was fine. She was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The rider’s friends who were seated at the restaurant about a hundred meters away from the scene rushed to the scene to help.
Local Muhammadnur Cheloh said: 'After the accident, we found the female rider lying on the pavement in pain. This is an accident-prone area because it is a curve and there are always cars parked on both sides.
'The rider could not see the toddler and the child did not see the motorcycle. I think the only way to prevent the accident is to have the cars parked in a safer place and parents should watch over their child carefully.'
The girl was taken home to her parents while the rider was discharged from the hospital later that day. no further action was taken.
