This is the heartwarming moment pet dogs trapped in floods were rescued by volunteers during Typhoon Bualoi in Thailand.

The pack of pooches was seen paddling desperately toward trees before being swept away by currents in Uttaradit on Tuesday.

Rescue workers who were evacuating residents in the area rushed to the canines' aid after hearing their cries.

Footage shows the crew untangling four stranded pet dogs from tree branches before pulling them onto a rescue boat.

A volunteer said: 'In times of hardship caused by natural disasters, every life matters.'

Bualoi struck Vietnam early Monday morning, with winds reaching 130 km per hour, leaving at least 19 people dead and 88 others injured.

Authorities confirmed that Bualoi triggered at least eight tornadoes across several provinces in Vietnam, including Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, and Hanoi.

In Ninh Binh, the extreme weather left nine people dead and 18 injured. Eleven single-storey houses collapsed, 126 homes were damaged, and 53 utility poles were brought down.

Bualoi had previously caused at least 20 deaths in the Philippines and forced hundreds of thousands of families into evacuation centres.

Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said flash floods caused by the storm hit 14 provinces and affected some 18,647 people, with at least one death reported.
