Alleged PWB engineer steals gold weighing 30 gms in central India

A man claiming to be an engineer associated with the Public Works Department (PWD) stole 30 gms of gold from a jewelry shop in central India's Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in Ghuwara town, located in the Chhatarpur district, on March 29.

CCTV footage features the man entering the store and conversing with the shopkeeper. Later, when the shop owner engages in showing him different ornaments, he slyly picks up a piece of gold jewelry and keeps it in his bag. Following this, he leaves the shop with the stolen item.

According to reports, the man alleged that he was working with the PWD and came into the shop pretending to buy a pendant. After engaging the shopkeeper, he fled the scene with 30 gms of gold, and the Ghuwara police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
