Thai man marries THREE WIVES at the same time in a bizarre wedding ceremony
A Thai man married THREE WIVES at the same time in a bizarre wedding ceremony.
Alternative medicine healer Suppakrit Chanchuedsak, 35, exchanged vows with his three brides in a Buddhist ceremony held in their home in Nonthaburi province, Thailand on March 29.
The lucky groom received a gift of 100,000 baht (22,800 GBP) cash from each of his harem along with pieces of jewellery and two plots of land, while he promised to love them equally and unconditionally in return.
Footage shows Suppakrit putting on gold engagement rings on his three wives as they were surrounded by gifts and wedding guests. Nine children spread among the three women in the polygamous 'love square' were also present during the ceremony.
Suppakrit said: 'It’s lovely how all of my wives have planned for the wedding together. I believe they did so because they're women and have the desire to experience being brides at least once in their life.'
Stud Suppakrit said he takes turns sleeping with each of his wives but he is 'concentrating' on his third wife as he wants to have more children with her.
He added: 'I have been a bit busy with my youngest wife as I'm hoping we can have more children. I'm a good husband and good father, so there's no limit to the children I can have.'
The wealthy groom owns a traditional medicine clinic near Bangkok so he was able to provide for all of his wives with a monthly salary while they help him run it. He doubles his work as a 'folk healer'.
Suppakrit first wife Nutcharin Phankat, 30, has been living with him for 16 years and has four children together - a boy and three girls.
The folk healer then met his second wife Pitchaya Surasiruengchai, 35, after seven years and proposed to his first wife about the idea of them all living together.
First wife Nutcharin agreed and their husband took in another wife Kawinthida Kulapatchaiyaboon, 31, after two years. The man had another four children with his second wife and a daughter with his third wife.
Third wife Kawinthida said she did not mind the bizarre set-up and actually finds it fun having more people in her family.
She said: 'I met him at a tattoo contest. He told me he was a doctor and had two wives and children. His wife came and asked me openly to be part of the family and help each other make a living.
'The reason behind this wedding is because we wanted to show unity in our family. All of our children are big so I believe it is time for us to organize a wedding to prove the love we have for each other after all these years.'
