Squid Game star 'fearing for his life' while battling Covid-19 infection
A star of the hit show Squid Game was fearing for his life today after being struck down with Covid-19.
Geoffrey Giuliano, 68, became a cult hero with his portrayal of obese billionaire homosexual VIP 4 in the South Korean horror drama which aired on Netflix last year.
However, the actor from Rochester, New York, is now bedridden suffering from a fever, sore throat and cough. He said he is 'fearing for his life' because he is overweight.
Geoffrey, who spends a large part of the year in Delhi, India, said: 'The last few days have been rough, but fortunately, so far there doesn't seem to be any involvement with my respiratory system.
'It manifested as an ungodly headache about five nights ago then morphed into a low-grade fever and very sore throat. Things are levelling off but the doctors tell me I'm not out of the woods yet.
'I am however fully vaccinated with two doses of Phizer. I was due to get my booster on April 12.'
Geoffrey said he had been cast as a VIP in the second series of Squid Game.
Geoffrey's black and gold robe from the first series is set to be auctioned off for a children's charity in the fall in London via memorabilia magnate Philip Winfield.
