Footage of man stepping on bird's tail causes controversy on Chinese social media
A video of a man stepping on a bird's tail and allowing his son to play with it has caused controversy on social media in China.
The shocking video filmed at Yansai Lake Scenic Spot in Hebei Province on May 4 shows a man stepping on a bird's tail to stop it from flying away so his son could get a closer look.
The boy kicked out at the bird after it scared him. Eventually, the bird managed to escape and fly off, leaving a few feathers on the ground.
Several netizens commented on the video on Chinese social media demanding the man be put on the black list for all scenic spots.
An employee of the scenic spot said they will verify the case and educate the tourists.
