Thousands of spectators cheered on teams racing whilst carrying beds in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, on June 11.

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is a traditional event that begin in 1966 where contestants dress themselves and design a bed. The last race took place in 2019 due to the pandemic.

They are then tasked with racing on a 2.4 mile course through the town all while carrying their bed. The course even takes them through the River Nidd.

This year, 90 teams took part and raised money for charity in the process.
