Ukrainian emergency services involved in highly risky try to neutralize Russian bomb
Ukrainian emergency crews are seen here on Thursday (June 23) attempting to unscrew a Russian FAB-500 bomb that struck Kharkiv back in March during the first weeks of the invasion that was unable to be fully neutralized until now.
The bomb with over 300 kg of high-grade explosive was dropped on Kharkiv from a Russian plane and hit the roof of a residential skyscraper in North Saltovka and got stuck on its technical floor.
Pyrotechnics crews were able to unscrew the contact detonator in March but due to heavy shelling in the area, it took several months for the crew to use heavy equipment to fully neutralize the bomb.
