Ukrainian emergency services deal with aftermath of Russian strikes
These images show the Ukrainian emergency service workers handling the consequences after Russian missiles hit the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.
The video begins by showing Ukrainian firefighters tackling the fire at the destroyed building.
Ukrainian firefighters then can be seen rescuing survivors from the buildings hit by the Russian missiles and kamikaze drones.
The images were obtained from Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, January 2, along with a statement saying: 'We are now dealing with the consequences of another Russian strike.
'All necessary services are involved. More than 500 rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, utilities, power engineers, and police. Kyiv and the region, Kharkiv.
'As of now, 92 people have been reported injured. Everyone is being helped. Unfortunately, four people have died. My condolences to their families and friends.
'Our air defence soldiers have been doing an incredible job for three days now.
'Since December 31, the Russian inhumans have already used about 170 Shaheds and dozens of missiles of various types.
'The vast majority of them were aimed at civilian objects. I am grateful to all our partners who are helping to strengthen our air shield. This helps to save hundreds of lives every day and every night that would have been taken by Russian terror if not for Patriots and other defence systems.
'This year, we will continue to work with everyone in the world who values life to further strengthen our air shield and hold Russia accountable for its actions.
'The terrorist state must feel the consequences of what it is doing.'
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation.'
