Near miss! Lucky cyclist narrowly avoids being hit by falling LADDER
A lucky cyclist narrowly avoided being hit by a falling ladder left by bungling workers on a road.
Dashcam footage shows the cyclist making a turn as the metal structure fell to the ground - missing him by a few inches.
The rider was unaware of the incredibly near miss until he heard the stepladder smash into the tarmac in Valenzuela City, the Philippines on July 31.
Residents said maintenance workers visited their neighborhood earlier in the morning to repair the overhead telephone cables but left the ladder resting against the lines.
Driver Jorge Kier River, who captured the near miss on his car's dash cam, said: ‘The cyclist was very lucky that he was not hit.
'The heavy ladder could have broken his bones. People should be very careful on public roads. You will never know what is going to happen.'
No one was hurt in the incident while the ladder was taken off the road by a resident.
