Villagers dine inside cool cave as heatwave scorches southern China
A group of villagers in southern China dined inside a cave to escape the heat which reached 42 degrees Celsius.
Video filmed in the city of Chongqing on August 17 shows villagers wearing winter jackets whilst tucking into a hotpot.
According to a villager Mr Chen, the outdoor temperature reached 42 degrees Celsius but it was only 16 degrees Celsius in the cave. So the villagers organised to have a hotpot in the cave to escape the heatwave.
