A man violently kicked a woman's seat in a cinema after she attempted to stop his son from kicking the seat repeatedly in eastern China.

Video filmed in Shanghai on August 22 shows a man suddenly kicking a woman's seat in front of him violently when they were watching a movie.

The woman then stood up to argue with the man.

The woman later walked out of the cinema hall and reported the case to the staff.

When the pair were speaking with staff outside, the man squared up to the woman before walking off with his family.

The woman later went for a check-up in hospital and was preliminarily diagnosed with head trauma, soft tissue trauma and possible concussion.

Police have detained the man, according to local reports.

2022年8月22日，松江公安分局接一女子报警称，其在一影院观影期间，遭后排一男子踢踹椅背后感到头晕，肇事男子已离开。接报后民警当即依法受理，为报警人开具验伤通知书，传唤了肇事人甘某某（男，32岁）。经医院对报警人进行头颅CT检查，其颅内未见明显异常。8月25日，公安机关对甘某某的违法行为作出行政拘留的处罚决定。（视频由上海台提供）
