A dead bull was given a grand funeral ceremony by villagers in Manaparai, Tamil Nadu, on August 5.

Footage shows the bull's carcass dressed in floral wreaths as it's carried by locals through the town.

The animal was later buried by the funeral's attendees.

The bull took part in many bull taming events and won many prizes, according to its owner Palanisami.

Palanisami rears a bull that participated in many bull taming events. He loved the bull more than his own sons and the bull also won many prizes in the events that it participated.

The bull died due to the old age and illness. Then the owner decided to prepare a grand funeral ceremony for the bull.

All of his relatives were called and the villagers were also assembled to pay the homage to the dead bull. Many cried on the ceremony.

The dead bull was carried around the village in a procession. Later, the final rituals were paid and the body of the bull was buried.
