A group of locals were seen collecting sand from a river below a bridge in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place on the bridge of Barodiya Nonagir village located in Khurai on September 5.

Visuals showed a group of people filling sand in steel containers by taking a dip inside the river under a bridge. On filling the containers, they transferred it to people on top of the bridge. This process was repeated over and over again.

Due to the high consumption and price of sand at this time, one can easily see in these pictures how the team of youths are risking their lives to extract it. Despite this, the administration does not take any action against these people.
