Kind-hearted residents rescue family of four trapped in flooded river in China
Kind-hearted residents rescued a family of four trapped in a flooded river in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Nanning in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 11 shows a family of four getting trapped in the middle of a flooded river.
Two men held a long wooden stick to let the trapped family members grab it and walked to the safe area one by one.
According to the filmer Mr Mo, the place is a tourist attraction and tourists usually play and take pictures there.
When the family walked into the river, it was shallow. But the floodwater washed down into the river from a nearby mountain as it just rained, causing the family to get trapped inside.
Mo was drinking tea and chatting with friends nearby. After he saw the incident, he also went to help rescue the family.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
