Armed police built a temporary delivery room outside their camp for a pregnant woman to give birth in southern China.
Video filmed in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province on September 13 shows a pregnant woman suddenly having stomachache when walking past an armed police camp with her son and one relative.
Her relative then took a quilt out and put it on the grass outside the armed police camp before running to ask for help from other people.
The sentry spotted the incident and walked over to her.
The woman’s relative found a doctor who was on leave. Since the woman’s water suddenly broke, the doctor decided to deliver the baby there and then.
Armed police officers were seen taking out the black cloth to provide shelter for the pregnant woman.
The baby was delivered successfully but the woman had a bad stomachache. Police officers deployed a vehicle to send them to hospital.
The baby and the mother were both safe.
