A daredevil motorcycle rider was arrested after shocked drivers recorded him performing reckless stunts on a busy highway in Thailand.

Pratheep, 36, was seen leaning forward on his seat while dangling his legs from the bike as she swayed between cars in Bangkok, Thailand on October 11.

He stood up on his vehicle and looked over his shoulder - causing a distraction to other road users.

Footage of the reckless riding was recorded by driver Sophon Boontae, who said they eventually lost sight of the man speeding along the road.

Sophon said: ‘He was doing all sorts of crazy stunts and can't sit still on his bike. Everyone should be careful on the road. I hope he arrived home safely.'

Video of the incident was seen by local police who ordered an investigation.

Deputy police chief, Lieutenant General Torsak Sukwimol, said Pratheep was traced and arrested at his home.

Tests proved that Pratheep was sober. He said he was just 'enjoying himself' while he rode to the local Buddhist temple.

Officers fined him 4,500 baht (118 USD) and court officials have him a one-month jail sentence suspended for two years.
