A large cobra was caught hiding inside a resident's living room in Thailand.

The 7ft long serpent was found among the tissue rolls under the cabinet while house owner Momoone was sitting on a chair in Nakhon Ratchasima province on November 10.

Momoone then ran out of her home and rushed to call the animal rescuers for help.

Footage shows the volunteers securing the creature's neck with a catching pole.

Momoone said: ‘The snake was comfortably lounging under the cabinet. Maybe it thought I was not watching. I was so scared.'

When the team arrived, they dragged the creature out of the resident's living room and placed it inside a sack,

The snake was venomous and long so it took three volunteers to catch it safely.

No one was hurt and the creature was taken back to the forest before it was released away from the village.
