Neon fairground lights collapse in embarrassing carnival fail in Thailand
Neon fairground lights collapsed in an embarrassing carnival fail in Thailand.
Footage shows the fragile decoration hanging on a 15ft-high pole before it plunged to the ground in front of oncoming drivers in Suphanburi province on January 22.
The colourful lights also cut out as they crashed into the car park below.
Onlooker Suthisa Mongkolsa said he was recording the busy attraction when the incident happened.
He said: ‘My girlfriend was driving and asked me to take some pictures and videos because the lights looked pretty. It was beautiful.
‘But after a while, the lights collapsed. No one was hurt but the cars looked like they were damaged.'
Suthisa said an electrician was called to check on the lights after they broke.
