The video shows a rare sighting where a total of eleven white rhinos gathered together at a watering hole in the Kruger National Park, South Africa on Tuesday (February 7).

"As a safari guide, working and living in the wild for the past ten years now, there are still times where I get absolutely blown away by something in nature that I have never seen before. On this occasion I was leading a safari in the Kruger National Park. The most ‘wanted to see’ animals in the park is the big five that consists of elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard. As a guide there is always a main focus and a drive in finding these big five animals for your safari guests. Some are easier to find than others which makes it all part of the thrill on a safari. I decided to check a nearby watering hole and on our approach to the watering hole I could hardly believe my eyes. My initial assumption from a distance was that it was a small herd of buffalo due to their numbers. Driving closer I quickly realized all those animals together in the water were white rhinos, counting a total of eleven. My safari guests including myself were totally amazed by this totally unexpected find. With the rhino being the most threatened and endangered of all the big five animals, hunted down and relentlessly poached for their horns, it was an incredible feeling to see so many right in front of us. Normally rhinos will be seen alone or in small groups that varies from three to six. The most I have ever seen before in the past ten years was a total of nine, making this gathering a special occasion. While everyone was left in awe, the rhinos seemed relaxed with our presence. All the rhinos were gathered in and around the water, cooling down during the heat of the late afternoon. As with any other species of animal or humans, when you have many of the same together, there ought to be a few irritations and eruptions between some individuals as seen in the video. We spent half an hour just sitting and watching these incredible prehistoric like beasts going about their afternoon in the water. This was an experience me and my guests will never forget," said the filmer.
