The Rasak Bungo Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) is more than a century old and is still capable of operating today. This hydroelectric power plant was built by the Dutch in 1908 for the operational electricity needs of a cement factory in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. There are two turbines operating and can generate electricity of 700 kilowatts (kW). This cement company, as the owner of the PLTA, also proposed that the Rasak Bungo PLTA be made a cultural heritage to UNESCO together with the Indarung I Factory.
