A rocket attack launched by Russia has killed at least three people in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine.

The strike targeted a five-storey apartment block. The city's acting mayor, Anatoly Kurtev, said that the building was “almost completely destroyed”.

This footage shows the site of the strike at 8 am local time on March 2.

56 units of the emergency services have been deployed, with 202 people currently working on the ground. They are searching for survivors under the rubble and dismantling dangerous parts of the collapsed building.

So far, 11 people have been rescued. Four of them were hospitalised.

Psychologists have assisted 20 people.

Emergency services and other bodies have set up five sents to support those affected by the Russian strike. There, food, clothing, and necessities will be distributed.

As of 08:00 at the site of a rocket attack on a residential building in the city of Zaporizhzhia, 11 people were rescued by units of the State Emergency Service, of which 4 were hospitalized. Two dead people were unblocked from under the rubble.

Searching for people under the rubble and dismantling dangerous elements of the building continue around the clock.

At the scene of the incident, the psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 20 people.

5 tents were set up for heating and feeding the victims, issuing clothes and basic necessities, as well as ensuring the work of management bodies (including: State Emergency Service - 2, National Police - 1, Zaporizhzhia City Council - 1, volunteer organization - 1).

At the scene of the incident, an emergency response team led by the Head of the Zaporizhia OVA was deployed.
