A boyfriend's romantic drone show marriage proposal impressed onlookers in Singapore.

The imaginative man, named only as 'Josh', prepared the mesmerising display next to the iconic Marina Bay Sands resort and hotel where he took his girlfriend 'Shar' on March 17 evening.

Footage shows the brightly illuminated drones forming the words ‘Josh' and ‘Shar' with a rotating red heart in the middle.

Along with the surprise show, the unmanned aerial vehicles also spelled out ‘marry me?' in capital letters, thrilling onlookers even more while they watched in awe from the other side of the bay.

Onlooker Sharul Lyzan said: ‘It was so romantic. His soon-to-be wife is fortunate to have such an endearing partner.'

The drones also made cute little hearts that were struck by a bow while music played in the background.

A gift box with a ribbon was also drawn, with a diamond ring appearing to come out of it.

Sharul added: ‘That might be the time when the man finally took out the engagement ring. It felt nice to witness such a special moment. I had goosebumps, it was so sweet.'
