This is the shocking moment a rampaging cow rammed motorcycle riders after breaking free from its rope.

The farm animal escaped from its restraints and rant towards a packed Highway 4 road in the Trang Bom District of Dong Nai province, Vietnam, on April 8 afternoon.

Spooked by loud traffic, the aggressive bovine went berserk and ploughed through multiple motorcycle riders who fell from their vehicles.

Local media reported that there were no serious injuries, but several people suffered minor grazes and bruises while a number of motorcycles were damaged.

Frightened onlookers could not approach the out-of-control cow fearing it might charge at them next.

After being notified, Ho Nai 3 commune police arrived to subdue the animal, which was pulled off the road an hour later with the help of the residents.

The farmer who owns the animal was fined for letting it escape and he was ordered to pay for the cost of the damage.
