Pet lover paints Ford Mustang to match his dog's white socks
A dog lover has ‘melted hearts’ after he painted his Ford Mustang GT black with white trim to match his beloved pitbull’s feet.
The car owner – known only as Clearly – wanted to make his original grey vehicle really stand out and used his pitbull/Labrador cross Frankie as inspiration.
In adorable footage that has been viewed more than 650,000 times online, the five litre V8 is shown on screen with its new bright white detailing before showing Frankie with his matching socks.
One commenter said the detailing ‘melted their heart into pieces’ while others said it ‘brought a smile to their face’ and that ‘this is the best idea ever’.
Clearly said: “People often ask because it’s something they haven’t seen before. Many even assume that it’s a body kit I ordered online and that I didn’t paint it myself.
“I added the white trim because I wanted to do something different that hadn’t been seen before on a car, let alone a Mustang.
“I’ve never seen anyone make a build on their car to match their dog so I wished to be the first. Frankie has bits of white throughout his body and it gave me a great idea.
“From the white on his body to his black eyes, I tried to make the car match as closely as possible.
“This process only took a couple months, waiting on the body shop to have availability was the hardest part.
“I’m so glad that so many people like what I decided to do when making the build after Frankie.
“Lots of people said they’re now going to do the same thing so I’m glad I can inspire others when it comes to their cars.”
