A pregnant woman who was about to give birth got stuck in an insane traffic jam in Indonesia's Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra province, on April 27.

Kharisma Widhelmita was there for the Eid celebrations when the holiday became complicated. She started suffering from heartburn and her waters broke in the worst possible moment. She got stuck in traffic while travelling by car on Jalan Lintas Sumatra, Simpang Tiga Ombilin.

People who saw the poor woman in pain immediately alerted the traffic wardens who were patrolling the area.

The Head of the Tanah Datar Police Iptu Hidayanda Rizki said: "
"People asked us where the nearest hospital or the nearest midwife's centre was and we asked what was wrong. A driver said a family was in a rush because a woman was giving birth".

Traffic wardens and police officers immediately rushed to the spot where the woman was to help her. Her vehicle was left in front of the Ombilin Post.

Widhelmita was brought to the private practice by an ambulance.

"The patient safely gave birth to a daughter eithin 30 minutes", said Iptu Hidayanda Rizki.
