Local authorities in Kherson, Ukraine in collaboration with rescuers and the National Police, are currently engaged in extensive evacuation operations as severe flooding ravages several areas. Reports indicate that as of 3 p.m., approximately 1,300 individuals have been successfully evacuated from affected regions, while the damage assessment reveals that 13 settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River, along with over 260 houses, have been submerged.

The dire situation has prompted the activation of emergency response teams from the State Emergency Service, who are working tirelessly to address the aftermath of the explosion at the Kakhovskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP). In addition to rescue operations, psychologists from the Rescue Service are deployed at assistance points, providing much-needed support to the affected population.

To effectively combat the emergency situation, a reserve of resources and personnel has been mobilized by the State Emergency Service. Evacuation centers have been set up in Kherson, where comprehensive psychological and medical aid is being extended to those in need. The total number of evacuated individuals has surpassed 1,300, highlighting the scale of the ongoing crisis.

The footage comes via Ukrainian media outlet SAS.
