Update_Leopard falls into 20 feet deep well in central India, rescued after 13 hours
A leopard that had fallen into a 20 feet deep well, was rescued by the forest department after 13 hours in central India's Madhya Pradesh.
This incident happened in Pachor village located in Chirgaon forest range, Jhansi district on June 6.
Visuals showed the leopard sitting inside the well, as it stared up at the light being flashed towards it. The wild animal had a chicken beside it as well. The well was dry so there posed no threat of the leopard drowning. Later on, the big cat had to be tranquilised before a cop was seen going down the well with the help of a ladder to bring it out. The leopard was then put inside a cage with the rescue operation lasting 13 hours.
According to a report, the leopard would now be sent to either Kanpur or Lucknow based on the decision taken by the Forest Department. The big cat had fallen into the well last night (June 5).
