Two thiefs stole my 2006 Crown Victoria Police Intercepter at 4:55AM on June 13th, 2023. This happened right outside my apartment window, 40ft from where I was sleeping. I caught the whole theft on cameras I purchased because of the rampant vandalism and break ins I have experienced with my previous vehicle. I had just purchased this vehicle a month and a half ago thinking that the vehicle, being a decommissioned Sheriff's vehicle, would be left alone.

When I woke up to move my vehicle for street sweeping at 5:50AM, I noticed the vehicle was gone and checked my cameras to see the whole theft caught on video. I immediately called SFPD to report the theft at 6:00AM explaining that I had the whole incident on video, gave descriptions of the thieves and info about my car and their car. I was told that an officer was on the way, so I waited and waited and waited. It was 6 hours later a Sheriff arrived to take a report and instructed me to send my video to them. I was given a report number and told that if they find anything they'll call to let me know.

San Francisco is broken and this was the last straw for me. I've witnessed drug dealing, overdoses, stabbings, shootings, death all from the same window this footage was taken from. San Francisco is too dangerous and there seems to be no one taking the safety of normal hard working citizens seriously. We just get the shaft and are expected to just be fine with that.

I do not expect to hear back about my vehicle. I feel so violated and helpless in this situation that happened right outside my window.
