Footage shows a Canadian Air Force aircraft as it joined the search for the missing 'Titanic Five' who are believed to be trapped inside a submersible 12,500ft below the surface.

The CP-140 Aurora based at Greenwood, Nova Scotia, flew over the site of the wreckage where the Titan vehicle operated by OceanGate went on what has been branded a 'suicide mission' on Sunday. The Titan lost contact with its mothership the Polar Prince shortly after submerging into the depths in search of the sunken liner Titanic.

German Athur Loibl, 60, who went on an OceanGate voyage in 2021, said he was 'incredibly lucky' to survive and said the trip was a 'suicide mission' due to the problems with the construction of the Titan submersible.

Ocean sounds were detected by sonar raising hopes that the five passengers were alive inside the Titan vessel.
