This is the nail-biting moment an entire family of EIGHT were seen riding on an overloaded scooter.

The group - seven children and their driver - squeezed themselves onto the vehicle while navigating the bustling streets of Mumbai, India, on June 20.

One lad was standing on a bar at the back of the bike, three were in the pillion position, one was hanging from the side and two were standing in the footwell.

Concerned rider Sohail Qureshi recorded a video of the road violation and complained to the city police.

He said: 'This irresponsible man is riding with seven children on a scooter. He should be arrested for risking the lives of seven young children. The parents of these kids should be prosecuted.'

Sohail said that officers had not taken any action or found the family.
