Diner carries on eating meal while being battered by heavy rain during flood
This hungry diner carried on eating his meal while being battered by heavy rain during a typhoon in the Philippines.
Footage shows the customer named Joenel devouring his bowl of hot porridge at a stall in Quezon City, Manila, on July 25.
Despite being drenched by the downpour - the parasol above his head proving ineffective - he tucked into his meal with gusto.
Joenel's uncle Edwin Sunaz, who also owns the porridge stall, said: 'He visited us in Quezon City, but it was raining at the time. He was soaked through but he didn't care. He really enjoyed the hot porridge because it was cold and raining.'
Super Typhoon Doksuri, known as Egay in the Philippines, battered the country but weakened slightly overnight, losing its super typhoon status on July 26. It brought gale-force winds and heavy rain, killing at least 30, the country's national disaster agency said.
Chinese media said Doksuri has landed in Jinjiang City in China's southeastern Fujian province on July 28 morning. The typhoon displaced tens of thousands of people and left at least 11 dead, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
