This is the moment campers battled to pitch tents during a storm in Thailand.

Footage shows the tourists struggling to hold down their billowing tents as strong wind blew through the Pa Sak Jolasid Dam campsite in Lopburi province on August 13.

The Thai Meteorological Department said on the same day that several provinces in central Thailand, including Lopburi, may experience scattered thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand.

Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
