A local food delivery worker in Hangzhou had a sudden shock when he accidentally crashed into a glass door at a hospital while delivering food, resulting in the immediate shattering of the door in China.

Mr Liu, the delivery man involved, stated that after making his delivery, he was under a tight schedule and was engrossed in checking his mobile phone. In his haste, he misjudged the entryway and went straight into the glass door. The door's sensors failed to detect his approach in time, leading to the unfortunate collision.

The impact was so severe that the helmet he was wearing made contact with the glass, causing it to break instantaneously. Along with the broken glass, Liu suffered a cut of about one centimetre on his hand, which he has since treated at the hospital's pharmacy.

Following the incident, Liu arranged for compensation for the damage to the glass door through his accident insurance. However, he also had to fork out 300 yuan (approx £32.6) from his own pocket.
