A school playground collapsed, sending multiple students into a septic tank in southern China.

Video filmed in Meishan City in Sichuan Province on October 10 shows school staff frantically assembling ladders in a desperate bid to rescue the stricken pupils.

The following day, a statement from the Renshou County Propaganda Department clarified the scale of the incident. They reported that, upon initial assessment, all three students who had fallen into the pit were safely rescued and, miraculously, there were no fatalities.

The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation.
