A creative dad surprised his two kids with massive pumpkin decorations featuring their heads singing.

Edgar Escobar turned his children Melianna, five, and Xander, three, into their own personalised Halloween decorations with some ingenious technology.

Using giant wooden pumpkins the family had carved earlier, engineer Edgar, 39, worked out ways of animating pictures of his kids.

Once completed, he surprised the pair with a singing premiere of their new decorations, leaving them absolutely ecstatic and running to hug him.

Edgar, from Columbus, Ohio, USA, said: “This was a complete surprise for my kids. They kept wondering when I would put out our pumpkins I made them last year.

“This gave me the idea to instead surprise them with personalised singing pumpkins.

“It took me two nights to figure out a quick easy way to do this since I wanted to make a lot of other songs for a full neighbourhood show.

“Once I had chosen my images, I edited them on my phone and then animated them through an app for pets.

“I have to animate them each time individually for each song. Basically every night I work on show for the next night since I want it to be different daily.

“Once they’re ready, I play them on PowerPoint through a projector we got from a Goodwill store for $15.

“We live in a cul-de-sac and luckily neighbours around us know us and thought it was super adorable.

“They all showed up to big reveal with their kids. They also asked if I can help them make their own.”
