A small sunbeam snake was caught in a local's toilet in Thailand.

The reptile had slithered into Yupin Chaiyapanya's house in Chiang Mai province on October 21.

The terrified resident called local snake catchers, who found the snake coiled in a corner of the bathroom. They grabbed the serpent using gloved hands and removed it from the house.

A sunbeam snake, also known as the iridescent snake, is a non-venomous snake native to Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its striking scales that glimmer in rainbow colours when struck with light.
