This is the heartwarming moment a nun played a guitar and sang for her family and friends at her clothing ceremony.

S. Mary Paul Elizabeth, 29, had her clothing ceremony after one year cloistered in the convent at Carmelite Monastery in the province of Bukidnon, the Philippines, on October 15.

Footage shows the Carmelite nun singing 'The Song of Pursuit,' a soul-stirring Filipino song while playing a guitar behind bars. She sang the heartrending song with an angelic voice while her visitors and fellow sisters listen.

S. Mary's real name is Hazel Ducto, and she's the childhood friend of Kirk Raymund, who captured the heartfelt footage.

Kirk Raymund and Mary's family gathered to visit her during her clothing ceremony.

S. Mary Paul Elizabeth entered the convent in October 2022.

The clothing ceremony marks the formal initiation of the individual into the religious community and symbolizes a nun's commitment to a life of religious devotion, prayer, and service according to the principles and rules of the particular religious order.
