Two leopards caught after they had strayed into residential area in western India

Two leopards, which had entered into a residential area in western India's Maharashtra, were caught and rescued in two different operations.

These incidents happened in Savatnagar and Govindnagar areas in Nashik on November 17.

Visuals showed a leopard was captured in a house and taken out on a stretcher. A huge crowd had accumulated in the area where the rescue operation took place. The other of these cases involved the leopard sitting on top of a cupboard inside a room of a house. One of these captured leopards was also seen inside of a cage. According to a report, the first of these information came from the Savatnagar area and the officials reached within an hour and caught the big cat.

In the second of these cases, the leopard had entered a house and the rescue operation was conducted by the officials of RESQ and Nashik Forest Department. In one such operation arrived at the spot and caught the animal. However, both leopards were later administered reversal drugs and recovered using anaesthesia. The officials involved in these rescue operations were Abhijeet Mahale, Vaibhav Bhogale, Samarth Mahajan, Aayush Patil, and Dr. Hemraj Sharma, a RESQ veterinarian, along with the Nashik Forest Department.
