A man working in a computer shop in south China's Shenzhen city was almost crushed to death last week when a car ploughed into the window of his office.

Miraculously he survived when the force of the car hitting the window pushed him under a desk, which potentially saved his life, reports the People's Daily Online.

The driver of the white sedan who smashed into the building said he was looking for something when he lost control of the vehicle.
The incident happened at 11am local time (3am GMT) on January 16.

The shocking moment was captured on CCTV showing the driver, who remains unidentified, crossing a busy car park at full speed, and going in the wrong direction. The report was shown on China Central TV News.

He narrowly misses a man with a child before smashing through the shop window.

The 20-second footage then cuts to a security camera inside the computer shop where the store clerk is sitting calmly, oblivious to what is about to happen next.

In a split second the car ploughs through the window, smashing the glass and knocking the man straight under a desk next to him.
The fact he went under the desk could be a reason why he survived, as it did not break.

If it was not there, he may have been crushed by the car, along with the entire contents of the shop.

When the car stopped, the footage shows the man climbing out from under the desk, shocked but seemingly unharmed.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but it was not life-threatening.

According to the report, the driver said he only got his driving license a month ago.

Traffic police will tow the car away which was left with its rear end hanging out of the shop, the accident is now under further investigation.
