Residents in the city of Port Hueneme in California embraced the holiday spirit and lit up the town with festive cheer.

Locals and visitors joined in the merriment on November 30, contributing to the annual tree-lighting ceremony. The event featured snow sledding, a Santa letter writing station, complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and delectable treats from food trucks.

Carollers filled the air with holiday melodies, setting the perfect backdrop for cherished moments captured with Santa.

The Port Hueneme Police Department and Port Hueneme Police Explorers surprised young visitors with thoughtful gifts.

The Channel Aire Chorus group added an extra layer of enchantment with their beautiful songs.

Mayor Bobby Martinez led the countdown, adding an exciting touch to the evening. Although the Christmas tree lights experienced a glitch during the initial attempt, the resilient community witnessed a radiant glow on the second try.
