Officials of the fire service came to the rescue of a Nilgai which had fallen into a well in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This incident happened in Badaldas village under the aegis of Purva police station, Rae Bareli on December 30, 2023.

Visuals showed the Nilgai in the well which was full of water. The animal was stranded in the narrow well and could not move at all with there being no space to do so. The officials of the Rae Bareli Fire and Emergency Services tied the animal with ropes and later, pulled it out of the well with a lot of effort.

The creature threw around its legs and seemed to get a bit aggressive but later, went on to walk away from the area after being saved. As per a report, the officials conducted the rescue operation by filling up the well with water.
