The dog, displaying remarkable resilience, managed to swim to safety, but the man found himself in need of urgent assistance. The Los Angeles Fire Department's Air Operations team promptly initiated a daring rescue mission, deploying a rescuer into the turbulent waters to retrieve the conscious man.

Both were successfully airlifted to a local hospital for medical attention, with the man receiving treatment and his loyal companion being taken to a shelter for care of minor injuries.
