Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality has transported over 4,200 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containers of goods via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor since this year's Spring Festival, which falls on Feb. 10, with a total value of about 500 million yuan (about 69.5 million U.S. dollars).
The main categories of goods included chemical raw materials and products, light industry and pharmaceutical products, metal ores, automotive and motorcycle parts.
The goods were transported to countries including Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, and the Netherlands.
By the end of 2023, the corridor reached 490 ports in 120 countries and regions.
