On March 4th, in Zhoushan, southern China, as Ms. Ling's car approached two adjacent diners, where staffs greeted her with peculiar gestures, signaling her to park. With hands in pockets or behind their backs, they vigorously shook their heads, urging customers to dine at their respective diners.

One employee on the left repeatedly swung his head with hands in pockets, while another on the right placed his hands behind his back, twisting his body while gesturing for Ms. Ling to park at their diner.
In the end, she found the employee on the right more convincing and chose their diner.

On the morning of March 5th, a staff member from one of the diners explained that there were local regulations against using hands, hence the head-shaking method.

It's understood that to precent hand-signaling from affecting traffic, local authorities have taken strict measures against behaviors such as persistent hand signals or actions that disrupt the normal operation of transportation.

The video was provided with permission from local media.
