Two tribesmen use sword to cut free two buffaloes trapped together by their horns
This is the incredible moment tribesmen use a sword to cut free two buffaloes tangled together by their horns.
Ishipo Masudi was leading a tour through the Maasai Mara, Kenya, on February 22 when he spotted two local men were looking over two stranded animals.
Dramatic footage shows the huge adults stationary on the floor while ne of the tribesmen carefully chops down at their horns with a sword.
After a couple of minutes of coaxing the buffaloes, one finally managed to stand up and manoeuvre its horns loose of its rival and they both walked off.
Ishipo, from Jungle Mara Safaris, said: “The buffaloes were entangled for an extended period, approximately four hours.
“A Maasai sword was used to carefully separate them without causing any injuries. The process involved meticulous precision to avoid harm.
“Three years ago, a similar scenario was encountered with buffaloes, but unfortunately, they were already found deceased upon discovery.
“While the struggle to separate the buffaloes presented moments of challenge, the compassionate perspective aligned with our conservation efforts.
“We prioritise the well-being and preservation of wildlife. Our mission revolves around wildlife preservation, education, and fostering coexistence between humans and animals.”
