Ukrainian Strela-10 air defence system destroys Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV
Footage shows Ukrainian air defence destroying a Russian Orlan-10 Reconnaissance UAV using a Strela-10 Air Defence System.
Ukrainian air defence forces were seen firing ordnance into the sky and taking down the Russian Orlan-10 UAV, which can be seen exploding in the air as it is hit.
The images were obtained from the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, April 2, along with a statement saying: 'Eastern direction. A Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV was destroyed. Excellent work by the crew of the Strela-10 air defence system of one of the Army units.'
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
The conflict is still ongoing with public support from Europe and the United States fading and businesses reopening their ties with Russia.
Deserters have fled both countries for safer climbs in Europe and Asia.
