A motorcycle sidecar that was made from bamboo entertained a tourist as she travelled across an island.

Footage shows the handcrafted carrier attached to the two-wheeler as Marielle Plaza, a holidaymaker, tours the island city of Puerto Princesa in Palawan province, the Philippines on February 16.

She said in the video 'Please say hi, brother' and pointed the camera at her and the local driver beside her.

The tricycle driver replied: 'Hello, welcome to Palawan.'

Speaking after, Marielle said: 'I had just come from NCCC Mall, Palawan, and while I was looking for a tricycle to take me back to our office, a driver approached me.

'At first, I had no idea what his tricycle looked like, but then I was shocked and amazed by his kubo.

'I enjoyed the ride because it was really windy, and the driver was talkative so that you wouldn't get bored.'
