On June 24, 2024, in Pu’er, Yunnan, a remarkable scene unfolded as several large elephants descended from the mountains and ventured into the home of local villagers.

These massive animals, with their long trunks, were captured on video leisurely roaming around the courtyards of the village home.

After exploring the yards and consuming available food, they proceeded to the nearby crop fields to continue their feast.

According to the filmer, the herd consisted of six elephants, including one calf and five adults. Although it is common for local elephants to enter villages for food, the family was still startled and surprised when the elephants entered their home directly. Hiding in their home, they didn't dare to come out and could only observe the elephants' movements through the surveillance screen on their cell phones.

6月24日早上，云南普洱市思茅区倚象镇纳吉村小海寨组经历了一场不同寻常的访客——一群大象进入了村民阿利车的家中觅食。 6月25日晚，阿利车告诉大皖新闻记者，当天早上，他和妻子、孩子都在家中，通过家中的监控摄像头目睹了这一场景。 阿利车表示，此次进入他家的大象共有6头，包括一头小象和五头成年大象。虽然当地经常有大象进村觅食的情况，但大象直接进入家中还是让他们一家感到害怕和惊讶。他们躲在家里不敢出来，只能通过手机上的监控画面观察大象的动向。 针对这一事件，云南普洱当地也发布了预警信息，提醒附近居民注意防范大象进入村庄、农地和附近道路活动时发生人象遭遇。同时，也建议居民们避免在自家院内堆放晾晒农作物、到附近树林捡拾野生菌等行为，以防与亚洲象发生人象遭遇。
