A sudden road collapse swallowed a Tesla car in central China.

The video was filmed in Lankao County in Henan Province on July 20.

Eyewitnesses reported that the road unexpectedly gave way, creating a deep sinkhole just as the Tesla was passing over the affected area. The collapse occurred so quickly that the driver had no time to react, plunging the car into the sinkhole.

Following the incident, the car's airbags were deployed, indicating the significant impact of the fall. Fortunately, the driver emerged unscathed, thanks to the airbag protection, and managed to exit the vehicle safely.

Initial investigations suggest that the road collapse may have been triggered by recent heavy rains, which likely caused soil loosening and disrupted the underground drainage system. The exact cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
